Great Weekend in Kalispell Part One

Just now getting around to writing about last weekend. We were heading to Kalispell to see some friends, Michele's daughter, grandson and parents for Michele's mothers 65th birthday.
Michele and I started off at 6am Saturday morning leaving Great Falls and heading to Kalispell. We topped off the gas and headed on our way. We decided we would grab a few Geocaches along the way and the first cache was in Valier, MT. Valier is a sleepy little town that we often stop at for a stretch and potty breaks but we were always in a hurry and did not stop to enjoy the town. This time we stopped and got the cache and some breakfast.
Our next stop was East Glacier for another quick cache, where we got help looking for the cache from the town puppy. In between petting the dog we found the cache and then we are back on our way to Kalispell.
Since we were driving RIGHT past The West Glacier Entrance you know we had to stop by and check on the Park. Well maybe not Check on it, but we can't drive by and not stop. We tried and failed at locating a cache in West Glacier so we moved on to Belton Bridge. Belton Bridge used to be the gateway to glacier until the West Glacier bridge was put in. It's a nice area we found earlier this year and have enjoyed stopping to walk across it every time we're in the Park.
After leaving the park we head to Columbia Falls for a few caches before ending in Kalispell. We usually drive through Columbia Falls but this time we took an old Stage road on the outskirts of town to find some caches.
After collecting our caches in Columbia Falls we headed into Kalispell and got our Motel and wanted to touch base with Michele's family and our friends. No matter WHO we called, no one answered, so we left messages and headed out for some Geocaching around Kalispell. We managed to find a few caches before Michele's family and our friends called. We had one cache that we could not find and we knew we should have been able to, so we were going to try again on Sunday, and yet another cache we found but could not retrieve without some help. That too, will have to wait until Sunday
We were informed that the the "Birthday" dinner was around 6:30 at Capers in Downtown
Kalispell so we squeezed in some time to visit our friends. Our friends Stacey & Trudy are very wonderful people who we enjoy visiting every time we get to Kalispell. Stacey was in a Motorcycle accident in July and after having a few surgeries he is walking with crutches and already has a new motorcycle. Once he is comfortable on the bike we hope to plan a ride to Pocatello, ID so I can visit family there. It always seems we never have enough time to sit and chat with them as long as we would like. We do try and get in to Kalispell often to visit them and Michele's daughter and grandson.
Capers is a nice little restaurant on main street, and we all had a great dinner and good conversation.
After dinner we went back to the Motel tired and slept very well.
